Black to the Future supports Black adults experiencing underemployment, career disruption, workplace barriers, or difficulty translating their skills and experience into appropriate employment.
Who it is for
Black adults who live in Toronto and want support with career renewal, training, employment, or self-employment pathways.
What participants receive
- Individual career and skills assessment
- Career action planning
- Resume, application, and interview support
- Digital workplace skills
- Training and credential navigation
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) education
- Coaching and mentorship
- Introductions to employers or training partners, when available

- A completed career plan
- Improved job search and interview readiness
- Connections to employment, training, or business supports
- Improved confidence navigating workplace and career decisions
